Stabler Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 July 2026 Effective from: 2 July 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Stabler when you use the app. They're written in plain English. If anything's unclear, email support@stablerapp.com.
1. Who we are and what this is
Stabler is a horse management app for performance horse owners, operated by Rosanna Relton, based in Brisbane, Australia ("Stabler", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using Stabler, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Stabler is in beta
Stabler is currently in beta. That means:
- Things will change. Features may be added, altered, or removed as we develop the product. We'll try to give notice of significant changes but can't promise it for every change.
- Things may break. We work hard on reliability, but we don't guarantee the app will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free during beta.
- Keep your own records for anything critical. Stabler is designed to be dependable, but during beta you should not treat it as your only copy of information you cannot afford to lose, particularly medication and veterinary details.
- Beta is free. See section 9.
3. Who can use Stabler
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement. By using Stabler you confirm both.
4. Your account
- Keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information (a real email address matters, it's how we reach you).
- One account per person. Don't share an account; use the horse-sharing feature instead, that's what it's for.
- Tell us at support@stablerapp.com if you think your account has been compromised.
5. Your content and your data
- You own your data. Everything you put into Stabler (horse records, photos, feed plans, schedules, notes) remains yours.
- You give us permission to handle it. You grant us a licence to store, display, process, and transmit your content solely to operate and improve the service. This licence exists so the app can function; it does not let us sell your data or use it for anything outside the service. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
- You're responsible for what you enter. That includes having the right to upload photos, and a legitimate reason to record other people's contact details (your vet, farrier, and so on).
- Export and deletion. You can request an export of your data, and you can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how deletion works).
6. Sharing horses
- When you share a horse, the recipient can see that horse's records and edit its day-to-day records (events, care schedules, tasks, feed plans). Ownership and financial sections are not displayed to them.
- Share only with people you trust with that information. You can revoke access at any time, but revocation doesn't un-see what someone has already seen.
- If someone shares a horse with you, use that access only for legitimate care and coordination of that horse. Don't copy or disclose another owner's information beyond what they'd reasonably expect.
- The horse's owner controls the record. We aren't able to mediate disputes between owners, co-owners, and shared users about a horse's information; the account that owns the record decides.
7. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use Stabler for anything unlawful
- Attempt to access other users' data or probe, scan, or test the security of the service
- Upload malicious code, or content that is abusive, infringing, or that you don't have rights to
- Scrape, resell, or reverse-engineer the service
- Use the app to send spam or unsolicited invitations at scale
We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules (see section 12).
8. Stabler is not veterinary advice
Reminders, schedules, feed plans, and any suggested intervals in Stabler are organisational tools based on information you enter. They are not veterinary, nutritional, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional (vet, farrier, dentist, nutritionist) for decisions about your horse's health and welfare. You remain fully responsible for your horses' care, including if a reminder is missed, delayed, or entered incorrectly.
9. Fees
Stabler is free during beta. We plan to introduce paid plans after beta. When we do:
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before anything becomes chargeable
- Beta users will be offered founding-member pricing
- Nothing will be charged without you actively choosing a paid plan
- These terms will be updated with billing, cancellation, and refund provisions at that time
10. Feedback
If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions (including through the in-app feedback feature), we can use them to improve Stabler without owing you anything. This never extends to your data, only to the ideas you volunteer.
11. Our stuff and other people's stuff
- The Stabler name, brand, design, and app are ours. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the app.
- Stabler runs on third-party infrastructure (our platform provider, Base44). We're responsible to you for the service; their terms govern our relationship with them.
12. Suspension and termination
- You can leave any time by deleting your account.
- We can suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. For breaches, we'll warn you first where reasonable. If we discontinue Stabler, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and the opportunity to export your data.
13. Liability
Australian Consumer Law first: nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded by agreement. Everything in this section applies only to the extent the law allows.
Subject to that:
- Stabler is provided "as is" during beta, without warranties beyond those the law requires.
- We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from: information you entered incorrectly, reminders you didn't act on, decisions about horse care and welfare, unauthorised access resulting from your credentials being compromised, or third-party service outages.
- Where liability can't be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service or, once paid plans exist, the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Plainly: we take reliability seriously and this app is built with care, but a free beta service can't stand behind your horses' welfare decisions. You can.
14. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app and by email, and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Stabler after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you don't, you can delete your account.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes go to the courts of Queensland, though we'd much rather you email us first, almost everything is fixable by talking.

Quick reference
If you just want the headlines:
- Stabler is in beta: free, improving fast, occasionally imperfect
- Your data is yours; we just need permission to store and display it to run the app
- Share horses only with people you trust; recipients must use access respectfully
- Stabler organises care, it doesn't advise on it; your vet does that
- Paid plans will come with 30 days' notice and founding-member pricing for beta users
- Be decent, don't break things, and email us when something's wrong
